AquaGen publishes its Sustainability Report for 2024/25

AquaGen is pleased to present its Sustainability Report for the 2024/25 financial year. The report provides a comprehensive overview of our sustainability performance, priorities, and progress across climate and environmental impact, social responsibility, and corporate governance.

Sustainability is a core part of AquaGen’s strategy and operations. Through more than 55 years of selective breeding, we contribute to a more sustainable aquaculture industry by improving growth, feed efficiency, and disease resistance in salmon and rainbow trout. These improvements support better fish welfare, reduced environmental impact, and increased value creation throughout the value chain.

During the reporting year, we have taken important steps to strengthen our sustainability work. This includes further development of our greenhouse gas accounting, improved data quality, and the completion of a double materiality assessment to better understand our key impacts, risks, and opportunities.

The report highlights solid progress in several areas, while also identifying where additional efforts are required. Sustainability is an ongoing process of continuous improvement, requiring clear priorities, strong collaboration, and a long-term perspective.

Looking ahead, sustainability will be even more closely integrated into our strategy as we continue to develop as a leading breeding partner for salmon and rainbow trout. Our ambition is to contribute to a profitable, healthy, and future-oriented aquaculture industry through science-based decisions and continuous improvements.
