Tom Eirik Aasjord Appointed New Group CEO of AquaGen

The Board of AquaGen has appointed Tom Eirik Aasjord as the new Group CEO. Aasjord joins from his position as CEO of Nova Sea and will assume his new role on January 1, 2026.   Aasjord brings broad, proven leadership experience across the aquaculture industry. He has held several senior positions at Nova Sea, where he served as CEO for the past six years. Previously, he also worked in various roles at Mainstream Norway and Codfarmers. In addition, he has played a central role in the development of Nordnorsk Stamfisk, first as Managing Director and later as Chair of the Board.   This combination of hands-on aquaculture expertise and strategic leadership was decisive in the selection process.   The appointment of Aasjord as Group CEO is part of the restructuring of the AquaGen Group. The goal is to strengthen the company’s execution capability and market position, while further developing the Group in line with its long-term ambitions. He brings a strong operational background, deep industry experience, and a documented track record of leading both operational and strategic transformation.     The position of Group CEO is newly established. The current leader of AquaGen AS, Knut Røflo, will continue in the company with responsibility for AquaGen Norway in the new corporate structure.   – We are very pleased to welcome Tom Eirik Aasjord as our new Group CEO. With his values, broad industry experience, and clear strategic understanding, he is very well equipped to lead AquaGen forward. The appointment strengthens the Group’s capacity for innovation and operational performance, and gives us a solid foundation for the future, says Chair of the Board, Odd Magne Rødseth.   – I look forward to joining AquaGen and contributing to the further development of a company with a unique professional position and an important mission. The structure now being established gives the Group a solid foundation for further growth, and I am excited to work closely with the company’s skilled employees, as well as the board and owners, to lift AquaGen into its next phase, says Tom Eirik Aasjord.
